Magic Marmalade 26th Apr 2017		Being only superficially acquainted with Donovan, mainly through a couple of singles and a greatest hits CD, ...and having only given this a superficial run-through the other day, I was struck by just how hippie-ish this really is. I can't think of another album that so absolutely represents the Flower-Power thing quite so pungently. Is this the ultimate flower-child album? ...Is Donovan King of the hippies? (Impressive, even on first listen, how consistently strong the material is all the way through too... quite an achievement given how much music there is here. I'll be giving it a much more thorough listen in the coming days)
