 first released within a mono sleeve, the mono over-stickered with a white, initially-peelable label stating stereo and giving the correct alpha prefix, NSPL immediately before the numerical part of the cat#.
pye records was the last of the major record companies in the uk to extend the stereo option to their pop records - even though they'd produced stereo classical recordings for some time - and it'd appear no-one in the lp sleeves' design & production department was told...
