Lee Wrecker 13th Jun 2021		The McCartney owned M.P.L. label was used by EMI in the UK and around the world to release McCartney's work. The other site lists this album as on the MPL label. Globally, EMI released this on their own EMI label in Venezuela, Capitol in Australia and Parlophone in New Zealand. So the MPL label is part of the EMI stable and products on it appear on all three labels above however not in the UK where the albums although known to be made by the EMI, Parlophone group only ever list MPL as a label on the actual product. Why the differences, I don't know but suspect global rights control would come into play here for sure. The question is do we list these as on MPL as the label or second guess like the charts seem to have done given that there is no other information on these products.



Quad5point1 13th Jun 2021		I was browsing and came across this album on Parlophone. Like it's brother "Wings Greatest Hits" it doesn't actually have Parlophone on the album or sleeve but M.P.L is. Looking at the official UK charts for 1976 reveals the album to be on Apple? Are these "Official" chart listings accurate? or are they guessing just like everybody else. Added screen capture for this album
