Pressed in 1979, with incorrect Columbia labels. So far one copy found with the labels on both sides. It is mainly found with a Parlophone label on one side, and the Columbia label on the other.

| | Okay, R.C., scratch the Spec-Savers crack! Your vision's okay, You picked up on the difference between Columbia and Parlophone. Pity the guy or girl who worked at EMI, Britain way back then... got his/her columbias and parlophones all mixed up. If he/she had been more haphazard in grabbing labels, this issue could've been on HMV, or Regal-Zonophone..... EEEEEK! |

| | But anyway it's strange seeing this on Columbia rather than parlophone |

| | "Looking at my 20 explosive hits record as I carefully take it out of its cover similar layout but it's blue"....er, R.C., think you might need Spec-Savers too! You posted about 20 Explosive Hits in the Beatles Revolver thread. |

| | Well, Neil, all it takes is one factory worker with not-so-good eyesight (or without his/her glasses) reaching at a pile of similar-looking labels and grabbing the wrong ones! Shades of what happened to me in the supermarket the other day - I thought I had grabbed a block of Cadbury's Dairy Milk, and discovered when I got home that it was actually Caramello (both in Cadbury-Purple wrappers, you see - or not, in my case!). |

| | It would be confusing to some because the labels had the lines radiating out from each side of the trademarks, but it's a silly mistake because the trademarks are so patently different to each other. |

| | This error apparently is not confined to just Beatle albums, there are others with incorrect EMI label heading, an easy mistake to make, especially when in the 1970's Columbia, Parlophone, His Master's Voice labels all looked similar. |

| | Sorry to go off-topic but I was simply noting Record Collector's "channelling" of Arte Johnson doing his German soldier routine(peering out from behind a bush and uttering "Veeeeery interesting but gooood"). But yes, getting back on topic, Beatles on EMI/Columbia - a vary unusual sight indeed but I wonder if they were really "mistakes". |

| | Getting the subject back on track, There is another Beatles album with a Columbia label. The export version of 'Let It Be' (Cat P-PCS 7096). I have seen it mentioned on another website, complete with photo scan of the label. I currently can't remember which website it was, however the photo was to small to enlarge without blurring the image. |

Though this of course has nothing to do with this fabulous Beatles LP! |

| | They did release a Rowan & Martin Laugh-In LP, but of their humour was visual so it was lost on an LP.

| | Very strange to see The Beatles on Columbia, even though the labelling can be filed under "oops!" Nonetheless it's good to see the proper number of tracks in the correct order. The American version should be rejected as it does not comply with the correct(British) version. |
