I got this as part of my Christmas present for Christmas 1970.
I asked my mum if she could get a boxed copy, but was a bit disappointed to receive a standard copy.
Tied in with Mums explanation that she asked for a boxed copy"but the shop only had these"as the boxed ones were withdrawn early November 1970.
If it's a UK copy, it means that it was one of the first ones, which were included in the box set. The LP was released a bit later as just a standard LP, which had the green apple, and it's been green ever since. (I think there was a lot of grumbling about having to buy the whole box package, which cost more.) In the US, they went as far as to actually have a red apple of the label too!
1973 French import labels uploaded. During 1973-4 all the Beatles Stereo albums were pressed over in France during the Oil crisis. These labels carried the 'Mfd In U.K.', along with Made In France by Pathe Marconi text, on the Apple Label.
