This is the first ever disc of 33.33 rpm that was issued by means of the Plantation label which was a subdivision of Shelby Singleton Productions. Additionally, this was the only Plantation LP disc that was both monaurally and stereofonically issued. Though this was the first disc of 33.33 that Ms. Riley had recorded, she recorded ten more Plantation LP discs of first-time-issued tunes for the next decade and a half.

A tune of this disc, which was Harper Valley P.T.A. was a best selling record that reached #1 by means of the US Billboard Hit Parade of discs of 45 rpm, the Cash Box Discs of 45 rpm Hit Parade and the US Country Music Hit Parade of discs of 45 rpm. Although most rock and roll discs of 33.33 rpm had fan club addresses on the reverse jacket side during the decade of 1960, this LP disc was one of the few country music discs that indicated a Jeannie Riley fan club address, which was 3106 Belmont Boulevard in Nashville, Tennessee on the reverse jacket.
