The Scaffold, which was founded in 1964, are a comedy, poetry and music trio, which consist of Mike McGear, whose real name is Peter Michael McCartney, Roger McGough and John Gorman. This group hails from Liverpool England, which is where the Beatles first established their group. Mike McGear is the brother of Paul McCartney. The Scaffold was known to perform a medley of comic songs, comedy sketches and the poetry that was composed by Roger McGough. On this disc of 33 rpm, Andy Roberts played the guitar with this group. The title, L The P, of this album is an abbreviation of the traditional folksong Lily The Pink.
