mowdamowda 7th Nov 2021		ady_lister In Australia, in the 60s and 70s, the manufacturing of records was pretty pathetic. Thin flimsy covers and never a gatefold for any artist (well rarely). The price of an album was $5.50. The manufacturing cost to make a gatefold? A measly 20 cents. So they invariable said 'no' and we went without. However, when On The Beach was released here, they made it a gatefold! (no gatefolds for Neil's first three albums, but this one they do. Gives you an idea of the thinking, well, lack of, that held sway out here.

W.B.lbl 11th May 2014		I saw a pressing of James Taylor's Walking Man that was likewise an RCA pressing, yet used the same Columbia Santa Maria label fonts as here.
