W.B.lbl 25th Feb 2019		"The Dixie Drifter" was in fact a New York R&B disc jockey, Enoch Gregory, who over the next several years recorded for a host of East Coast labels with other records in the style of "Soul Heaven." Teddy Vann was in no way "The Dixie Drifter," he simply wrote several of the songs. (And Mr. Gregory is by no means the only "Dixie Drifter," another artist using that nickname was a country performer, Jimmy [or Jimmie] Dawson.)
