 Answering Louis' question, this would have to be 1957 or later, because RCA recordings were released in the UK via EMI's HMV label before then.

Background video about Yellow Bird from GeoSilverMore.
There is also discussion there about whether the Kingston Trio sang it.

One comment says "Choucoune is now on YouTube in a few versions. Even before Petit Oiseaux, though, apparently the chorus melody was part of an old French folk song from the province of Anjou: "Non, non, non, je ne marierai pas". Which may have been played on French television on February 19 and March 18 of 1973."

 Don't Ever Love Me was an early form of Yellow Bird. It was based on Choucoune ... which was based on Petit Oiseaux ... which was ..
