 I read somewhere a quote from Mingus' widow Sue Graham Mingus that he hated all diminutives of the name "Charles", so I imagine that RCA p'd him off a second time by calling him "Charlie", as well as releasing this 5 years late!

 Review
Charlie got the best out of his sidemen here.Inspired by a trip to Tijuana.Recorded in 1957 but not released till 1962.Interesting ensembles,with riffs that stick in the mind,making it worthy of investigation.
