| | They won't be making any more so I'd get the Domino reissue yes...
Even the original is a bargain at $150 |

| | I saw both copies on Friday - the Domino reissue and an expensive ($150 Aus) original (2nd pressing) release. I didn't buy either as I can't get past the first song and although I know it's a joke and an attempt to garner commercial success it's tainted my view of the whole album. Should I give it another go and snaffle up one of the double album reissues? |

| | I like the "Celtic Music appeared in person as litigants". Celtic Music have long been known for their passion for legal attack (or defence depending on how you see it) since one half of the board was a trained (but now disbarred, I believe) Lawyer. I should think Neil Sharpley was rubbing his hands with glee at the opportunity to get back into court, even in his capacity as an amateur prosecutor. |

| | Just read the press release from Celtic Music. I find the assertion that the album is still available on CD [the 2000 release] a little weird - I'm not sure how they could claim that so strenuously.
I'm intrigued by the paragraph at the end which suggests they are going to be releasing a lot of the stuff they own - I'm not sure why they would suddenly do that when they've shown no interest in it so far.
If anyone wants to read the press release it is here - http://celtic-music.co.uk/press/2018-12/Press_Release_Bright_Phoebus.pdf
Make of it what you will... |

| | Crikey, I didn't know that. Is that the guy from Celtic Music? I thought he had died or am I thinking of someone else? |

| | Now sadly withdrawn due to the copyright owner (not the artists or their families) insisting that it is illegal. There's still a few copies around though, so snap them up while they're still available. The court case took place a few months ago now. |

| | The song "Red Wine Promises" was credited correctly on "Migrating Bird - The Songs Of Lal Waterson" too. Covered by Victoria Williams. Released by Honest Jon's Records in 2007, both on a 19 track cd and a 6 song vinyl 12" EP. |

| | Yes I noticed that too, I had also been getting it wrong (and I played the track on my radio show the other week, and I think I therefore introduced it wrong). (I had to edit out the word "bugger's" which seems crazy but them's the rules...)
As for the single disc version, it just needs to be a new entry, enter it as you would any other entry - but it does need to be separate.
Note the second record on this edition does have a distinct catalogue number (but yes, the main cat no is the same). |

| | Just discovered that it really is "Red Wine Promises" and not "Red Wine And Promises" - it was wrong all along until Domino issued this wonderful reissue... (add. it appeared as Red Wine Promises on the Topic CD "Shining Bright" performed by Richard Thompson and again on the Lal Waterson book/cd "Teach Me To Be A Summer's Morning" and again on the compilation "Mighty River Of Song".) |

| | I'm not sure how to put up the single LP version of this. They chose to give the double LP and the single LP the same catalogue number...

| | Released next month but pre-orders have already shipped (I received mine today).
Also released as a single disc edition (without extra tracks), and a 2CD deluxe edition (with extra tracks).
One of the most long-awaited reissues ever? I think so. Chuffed to bits with this. |
