Gatefold sleeve.
The first UK release has a gatefold sleeve with a picture of the band inside,no barcode, and an inner sleeve with the lyrics on.
A fairly scarce alternative of this rear sleeve exists with no black dot between "Accept Yourself" and "Girl Afraid".
Producers : John Porter, Roger Pusey, Dale Griffin and The Smiths.

I've just finished reading Morrissey's Autobiography (which is excellent, and recommended if you like that kinda thing) and there's an interesting tale about this album involving Geoff Travis from Rough Trade who, according to Mozza, attempted to argue that Hatful Of Hollow did not count as a contractual album.
Travis doesn't come out of the book well at all, it must be said... (though he's not alone in that regard).
The second pressing has identical label typesetting with a near colour match. The Inner sleeve has the lyrics arranged in the same order but without vertical bars and the print is blue on a white background. The outer sleeve has a different layout front & back, plus barcode. It was issued in 1986.
Yes, great album. It rescued several songs from the poorly recorded first album and captured them in much better versions (John Peel sessions all, I believe).
