 I think you might be right, BIM - the Copyright Office filing shows the date of publication (i.e. release date) as July 10th, and it was reviewed in Cashbox's issue of July 22nd (and again in the August 12th issue, for some reason).

 Are you SURE this was out in AUGUST `78?? I ask because, I worked at Cedar Point that summer starting July 5th and going to Sept. 28th and I'm SURE I had a copy of this album BEFORE I went out there!! In fact, when I first came to this page and saw the album cover, I was IMMEDIATELY reminded of being at Cedar Point and mentioning the smoke-off to some people that were living there with me.
