looks likely - and it doesn't mention embassy on the front of the lp sleeve on mine, but does on yours - the ones you'n'i've just found, that is - which'd help confuse...
so yes; there were (at least) three differing printings of the card sleeve, for (at least) two cat#s of the embassy - cbs embassy label editions of the original london cast lp of fiddler on the roof:
S EMB 31210 for the blue embassy label edition
S 31519 for the cbs embassy label edition(s)
discogs' images of both labels showing when "more" & ">" are selected.
(yr hmbl srppnt.'d like there to be found a thrid pressing, with a cbs embassy label on which the "embassy"'d been shrunk to the in-a-small, black line-drawn box immediately above the title & artist billing, to go (more-or-less) with the no-indication-of-embassy-on-the-sleeve-front final style: but this may just be a tiny bit of ocd in my make-up, or naïve looking-for-perfection-in-the-real-world - and the music business be so representable. . .)
*g* hi nboldock / "n"; is it possible you missed a very small point "embassy" detail on a whatever-was-then-current cbs label? nearing the end of embassy, the label was progressively reduced to a reversed-out on black block "embassy" - just an embassy series, really - on pretty standard cbs labels, which shrank and moved off-centre - and it was then downgraded even further, to a simple black type mention in a small line-drawn box on the cbs label, above the artist & lp title; and the wider number block was also employed for "cameo" series reissues and resurrections (which i thought were all, or nearly all, of mono "product" - bicbw).
- but it's also possible that after the end of this, cbs uk saw no reason to avoid using remaining, unused cat#s in the cbs embassy, nice price and cameo series number block for full price releases.
It was me that entered this into the database. Presumably from some job lot stack or other although I don't recall. I doubt I would have got the label wrong although it's not impossible of course - but I'd assume CBS was correct.
this is a budget price cbs group cat#, almost certainly a cbs embassy label cat#, and a 1977 reissue of the 1967 lp, the original london cast recording;
but there's insufficient detail on this lpcat item's entry to determine exactly which label: does anycatter out there have a copy of this, to check, and report back/add the information/correction, as may be needful?
