On the cover the group is called The Pretty Things. However on both labels, the name is truncated to Pretty Things.

This is one of five albums that launched Motown's progressive rock "Rare Earth" label in August 1969 and like the other four; RS-505, RS-507, RS-508 and RS-509, it was initially housed in a die cut round top cover, with new artwork specifically commissioned for the release. In addition to the unique round top, this album also featured a gatefold sleeve with the lyrics reproduced inside. Later re-pressings of these five albums were released with a standard square cover.

Motown also included this album with those mentioned above in a promotional five record box set to launch the new label. The box cover featured the Rare Earth logo with "A Very Heavy New Label" printed on the front.

Added all images....My stamper numbers are totally different (Master numbers are the same)...In the USA unless you're looking for a specific pressing (with a reason...wrong/different version of a song / mastering defect / special promotional pressing)...adding stamper numbers to the notes are pointless (especially if it's a monster selling album!...and this wasn't!)...adding them to the label image might be within reason though.....John
