umbria99 1st Jul 2015		Many thanks for doing all the 'heavy lifting' on this ppint it's most appreciated and illuminating too. Great artwork on the cover too, when I get the hang of how to take and load images using iPad, I'll do that.



ppint. 1st Jul 2015		check who was playing in her backing band, and on the various tracks on the lp - and even if they didn't all actually contributed to writing this particular song (and the chances are, the whole band did), it's a way of getting all the musicians who helped her in on a composer's copyrights - and a share in the continuing publishing royalties (etc.). (i s'spect "j. taylor" is the little-known, and relatively unsuccessful singer-songwriter, ferrinstance.) (- after a bit more digging: janet vogel (later, janet vogel rapp), jimmy beaumont, j(oe) verscharen, and possibly joe rock (but he sounds s'spiciously pseudonymous to this ppint.) were members of the skyliners, who composed & had a ?hit? single with this song, a doo-wop classic whose original i can just possibly recall; it looks as though later additions to the credits are for (re-?) arranging it for ms. streisand's singing voice (& this recording).) (and after a little bit more digging: joe rock was their long-time manager & producer; j. taylor was group member, jack taylor; so i was waaaay wrong there.. & w. lester was wally lester, also a group member.)
