Hey Phil, my copy looks like an old pressing but it's not. The feel of the vinyl is definitely post oil crisis thin like only Australia could do and early 80's at the latest in my opinion. Strangely though for the 180gr 220gr buffs this vinyl most likely less than 100gr sounds great. I'll weigh it to prove a point. Hmmm... 98grams and sounds immaculate. Heard much much worse as remastered 180 and above re-releases .
I think I win that bet Phil. I've got all the information I need now and have added the month of release as well. Found in Cairns for a fair price in good condition - surprised me.
You lose that bet, Lee! I'm relying on Michael de Looper's listing to tell me it's March 1975, just like Discogs did! Seems to have been released in the US about November 1974, and allowing for the usual delay in releasing albums (particularly soul albums) in Australia in those days, plus the "Sha La La" single entering the chart in mid-February for a short run, March would be about right.
Released in 1975 and NOT 1974 in Australia according to the other site, I've listed it as so but I bet Phil would know whether this is a 74 or 75 release for sure though.
