Hi Jasper, I too am surprised that there's no earlier Australian release, but looking in Discogs, even the UK London release wasn't until 1964 (confirmed from Paul Pelletier's publication), and the first US stereo release was on Stax early in '68 (later reissued on Atlantic). The Atlantic/Festival matrix numbers in 45cat suggest that this one would have been around July/August 1968.

Hi PhilMH - I would have bought this 1969/70 along with Otis Redding's Dock Of The Bay SAL-932,885 - definitely not 1962. I am surprised that there is no earlier release - there are later budget releases on Axis and Midi.

Looking at this in Michael de Looper's Festival listing, this would seem to be a 1968 release. Discogs had this as 1962, but I've fixed that! There doesn't seem to have been an earlier Australian release, maybe it got lost in the shuffle as Atlantic moved from London/EMI to Festival in 1963.
