chrisb 15th Jun 2016		The USA and Canadian releases of Extravaganza on Sire differ markedly from the Rocket Record Company releases elsewhere in the world. Gone are 'Spin Round the Room' and 'Highbury Incident (Rainy July Morning)' as these had already been released on Pinafore Days in the USA and Canada the previous year, itself a reworked Sire version of MCA's George Martin produced The Man in the Bowler Hat released elsewhere. To the US/Canadian Extravaganza were added 'The Indifferent Hedgehog', a missing track culled from The Man in the Bowler Hat LP on the Pinafore Days release (George Martin plays piano on this track) and 'Do The Stanley' a minor 45 hit in the UK from 1973. And then the remaining Extravaganza tracks have been completely re-ordered on the US/Canadian release apart from the last track on each side. Interesting too that Sire are able to mix up MCA and Rocket Records tracks on their Stackridge releases.
