Both albums have the same cat# as the 1966 originals.

| | Sorry Phil, I didn't even see the cat# when I entered it let alone twig to the Two Fo(u)r One play on numbers. I'm therefore returning my Trainspotters licence to the authorities in shame and embarrassment. I think I'll have to get down the shops and buy a bigger magnifying glass and do a bit of eagle eye training to get back up to speed. Seriously though, many thanks to everyone that has helped out putting this entry straight - I think we've built a decent template for other albums of this ilk. |

| | It just occurred to me that the first three digits of the set catalogue number match the series name, i.e. 241 = Two For The Price Of One. Quick on the uptake? Maybe not. |

| | I'd suggest that some kind of special feature has to be created for these to be able to be linked to their respective parent issues.
After all, each of them is an issue of the album in question.
...If you were a Simon & Garfunkel collector, for instance, and you searched the main page for Sounds Of Silence, and looked at the linked issues at the foot of the page, these wouldn't show up... so that person may either erroneously add it again, or this issue will simply be overlooked.
"Special Link-age" anyone?
(Perhaps a "split-link" feature, enabled by the addition of a new option in the drop-down box for entering: Mono Album, Stereo Album, Double Album, ...... Joint Issue (?), which, when selected, could enable sides A + B to be linked to one set, and C + D to another, without a total merge of all) |

| | Thanks Phil & Jasper, I've spotted that cat# on the back cover (top right) and will submit a correction for that and the date too. I agree that they shouldn't be linked it's weird that the individual labels don't reflect the cat# for the set though. Thanks, everyone for your input here because as Magic Marmalade said there were a lot of these pumped out in the mid eighties. Correction sent. |

| | Michael De Loopers database shows the release date May 1984 for this package under cat# 241078. I don't think that this should be linked to the individual albums and also I think that the date should be changed from 1966 as although the individual cat #s may be from that year this package was not available then. |

| | Hi guys, sorry I can't help with a date on this, though label design suggests late 70s at the earliest, but just looking at image 800436, I can see the number 241078 under the CBS logo, and it's in the top-right corner of the front cover (image 800433) too, so I suspect that this is the proper catalogue number for this set. Lee, is there anything on the spine, e.g. SBP 241078 or S2BP 241078 or similar? |

| | we have three albums A and B and A+B
A is linked to A1, A2, A3
B is linked to B1
If we link A+B to both the result would be that all records are linked together. |

| | I think I'd have been hesitant about how to link them too Lee.
Perhaps just put a link in a comment on each of their lead entries to this?
(Until someone advises otherwise. - There are a few conjoined album issues about, so any decision could help in a lot of cases besides this one alone) |

| | No idea on the release date - late 70's early 80's is my guess. Phil are you still out there in the ether to help me out? I have a question for the moderators on this one should I link it to one, both or none of the original albums? In my view all three options are valid. I have been away for a year or so, so I don't know and I'm hoping (assuming) that there is a protocol on this sort of thing. By the way both of these albums are great and the pressings are also very good. |
