PhilMH ● 6th Apr 2016		Hi Lee, I suspect in this case it was just used to reflect the varying nationalities of the artists, who came from several EMI-group (or EMI-distributed) labels. The original thrust of EMI International as it originated in the UK seems to have been as a sort-of replacement for Stateside, as the singles and albums released on the label were usually licensed from a variety of external sources, and not just US labels (Stateside turned out to be a very flexible concept in some parts of the world, including Australia, with some releases not being of US origin).



Lee Wrecker 6th Apr 2016		Thanks for the confirmation Phil but now I have to ask just how international was it? There are a fair few homegrown Aussie acts on this one and I'd of thought it would have only been available in Australia. I suppose Max Merritt is a Kiwi so maybe they shipped some over the ditch. Or is the moniker just used for no apparent reason?
