| | The stamped matrix and label prefix are incorrect on the original pressing, and should be "SDM" as per sleeve. This happened with the first pressings of the first three Matchbox LPs, after which Orlake seems to have got used (mostly but not always) to adding an "M" in place of the Saydisc sequence "L". |

| | Ah, the girl on the sleeve was called Lynn!
The record was recorded in two sessions on the first Sunday of March and April. Sessions were in the afternoon before the artists played at Ian Anderson's Folk Blues Bristol and West club...all currently being documented in my next discography, "Blues from the Avon Delta". |

| | Other early Saydisc sleeves (e.g. Cylinder Jazz) printed in Westbury on Trym are also yellowed, though not to this extent.
As for including Matchbox LPs in the Saydisc listing, what do we do about the two rogue Roots label LPs that were issued, one on the Matchbox label (RL 337) and one on Saydisc label (SL 506)?
(Then there's the added complexity of Saydisc assigning its own catalogue numbers in-house to contract pressings by Sunflower, Kokomo, Highway 51, Roots and JASS.) |

| | Note with the second issue colour change and rear of sleeve now indicating a change of printer from "Trym Display Services" to E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford. The front cover displays the added "Volume One" which, one may assume, was due to the existence of Volume Two. There is also a different font size between the title on the two issues and the font size is increased for "blues series" on the later issue. |

| | It's exactly 50 years since this was released. These were recorded by Ian Anderson taking his guests down to Gef Lucena and recording a couple of tracks each time. The first issue which we see here had a varnish which yellowed with age. Thus what was white ended up being bright yellow and the turquoise ink used (which is clearly seen in the slightly later issue) became almost green as a result. Dark blue text remained dark blue. |

| | This is Saydisc Matchbox but primarily Saydisc. It would be better to keep all Saydisc records together as Matchbox is a series within the Saydisc label. This is part of the global Saydisc numbering system & labels state "SDL 142"! |
