The above album was recorded in London with the Cyril Ornadel Orchestra on 20/21/22/26 August 1959. The set was given a title, selections mastered and programmed for release in the spring of 1960. Originally postponed because of the simultaneous release of five albums just four months earlier; the overwhelming success of MGM E/SE 3791 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS ITALIAN FAVORITES and three more "ethnic" albums in the pipeline, caused further delay and eventual abandoning of the project.

A1: A2: B1: were all included on USA EP MGM EP XC 1703 CONNIE FRANCIS in October 1960.

A4: was remixed in 1980 and made its debut on USA LP MGM MG-1-5406 I'M ME AGAIN IN January 1981.

A5: was released after 28 years and made its debut on USA LP PAIR PDL2-1167.

A6: was released after 32 years on the special 2-CD/2-MC package POLYDOR 314 511 855/6 AN AMERICAN TREASURE.

This album was eventually released in its entirety by BEAR FAMILY RECORDS in Germany as part of a 5-CD set on BEAR FAMILY BCD 15616.
