Ended up back here via a couple of Neil Diamond albums (go figure!), I never noticed before that the labels show the original Ampar/Festival matrix numbers, MX10921 & MX10922, so EMI obviously just used Festival's plates, which would have been passed on to them when the ABC licence changed. Looking in Discogs, the mono Ampar release had matrices MX10657 & MX10658, suggesting that the stereo release might have been slightly later than the mono (this is the first time that I have seen different matrices on mono and stereo Festival releases - I had assumed that the stereo versions would have been the same numbers prefixed by SMX).

 jasper, lee: thanks.

(wouldn't life be a bit more boring, and musiccorpses never disagreed with (other bits of) themselves?)

It would have been $2.50 originally - see the "Series 250" notation up in the right-hand corner of the back cover. Later releases in this numerical series had Series 259 and then Series 275, so EMI and/or the retailers probably just boosted the prices on the older ones when the price changed!

Hi Lee, it would be a mid-price re-release - actually cost me $2.59 from a news agency in Sydney. Just looking at other releases I bought around the same time $2.59 seemed to be a common price at that time.

Nice scans Jasper! So was this a mid-price re-release or a regular release? All I know is that Stateside/Parlophone label template got a solid workout in the 70's.

O.K. Images added now - Worried Mind needs a correction - I will submit shortly. It Makes No Difference Now - has this title on the label but not on the back cover - composer credits as per label.

Hey ppint, uploaded a temporary image for this album to prove Jasper both right and wrong. Hopefully, Jasper will sort out some decent images later and correct the title of Worried Mind. In the meantime this will do to corroborate the fact that some of the listings here are indeed correct in their incorrectness. I don't have this album so I can't comment on the composer credits business.

@jasper hi; could you check & confirm the titles of tracks b1 & b2 & first composer of b1?°

° - everywhere else gives them as "worried mind" & "it makes no difference now" - for (almost) the same composers - but it wouldn't be the first time things were done differently in xxxxia...
