Okay then I know it's not a big issue I guess any that are wrongly put under Hong Kong can always be changed to the correct country at a later date anyway
We did discuss that possibility but given it is a relatively minor issue (compared to the "Europe" thing) it was decided it wasn't really worth the hassle, and in any case it wouldn't be quite as definitive as the Europe flag.
being as we now have a Europe flag would it not be better for albums where it's less obvious if it is Hong kong should we not get an overall Asian flag?
Yep, I think you are right, and this (and others) was almost certainly released in more than one South East Asian country. We agreed elsewhere that where this was the case we would put them under whichever country seemed most appropriate. In this case Hong Kong.
I really must scan the labels at some point; will try and get to that on the weekend.
probably just a generic sleeve for the whole of that region of Asia, hence why it has all countries listed. Like the sleeves you get for a alot of european releases dont match exactly the country they're released, holland seem to make alot of sleeves for germany
I know the back cover refers to Malaysia as well as Hong Kong, but the gentleman I got this record from told me he bought it in Hong Kong when it came out (this came as part of a joblot from an older couple who were clearly well-travelled). Hence I've allocated it to Hong Kong. Whether it was also released in Malaysia and elsewhere in the South East Asian region, I don't know, but he was clear that it was definitely on sale in Hong Kong.
I'm scannerless at the moment but will add the labels as soon as I remedy that situation.
