Lee Wrecker 13th May 2017		I concur with others here and although I don't own this one it was in my opinion their last decent effort. Also, like others here I don't rate the highly regarded double album multi-platinum snoozefest that is The Wall. I do know that The Wall was a good record to put on if wanted to kill a party or have people leave your house though. Boring. Anyway, I might pick this one up again now that I'm not a rabid punk that couldn't be seen to own anything by monolithic rock dinosaurs like Floyd or Zeppelin. Seems the Floyd have managed to worm their way back into my heart but Zeppelin is still a bridge too far for my taste.



deepinder cheema 12th Dec 2016		I have had since Oct or Nov 1980 a 2 x one sided EMI Hayes test pressing of this brutal LP. The stamped in the corner remarks is dated 14th Dec 1976 ( from memory) I bought it from 'Luigi and the boys' in Hanway St from an ad in Sounds. ( classifieds) I have a number of EMI test pressings which I find fascinating but really I know very little about them and why they exist and the system they were part of. So if anyone wants to investigate the subject then I have a few Pink Floyd ones for further study.



TopPopper 21st Sep 2014		I'd echo the sentiments vis-a-vis The Wall. This is better I think, but I'd put it third in the pecking order after Dark Side and Wish You Were Here. It's good though.



Magic Marmalade 🍰 ● 21st Sep 2014		...if you're new to Pink Floyd, and want to know where to go next in their catalogue after Dark Side of the Moon, and Wish You Were Here.... my advice is jump over The Wall and visit Animals!!! (even though the wall was later, it seems in polite society that purchasing it ought to be your next duty after ((Something, Something....)Dark Side, and Wish).



Magic Marmalade 🍰 ● 21st Sep 2014		This might just be their masterpiece! ... to mis-quote a certain Mister Tarantino film. Other Floyd fans will of course think my opening statement here as some kind of heresy, but since re-engaging the gears of my Floyd vinyl for recording purposes, and slowly working through the catalogue, this album of theirs is the one that is getting most repeated play! Maybe I've just over listened to Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here over the years (I confess I don't go much on The Wall (Gasps...Shock, Horror!!)), but this sounds like it ought to come immediately prior to Dark Side, as it has more in common with early seventies works, and is a progression from Atom Heart Mother and Meddle, than post wall melodrama and precursor to Dark Side: minus the ambitious arrangements: Purest Floyd album I think!!!!
