Wait and see if nicoldo64 posts anything then I suppose.

(It would be quite a groovy gatefold if it does exist, I can see how that would work nicely as a design)

I reckon other territories used card inners sans rounded corners or uncropped So could be a mix up. But I say that we need to see the whole sleeve as a perspective view to gain a sense of shape.

 Inner Sleeve scans added.

I'd agree, but the inner sleeve has rounded corners like Obscured by Clouds, and a thumb notch at top, with a cat# on the top left on the white part... none of which are there on this image, unless they've been photo-shopped out... which I don't see any reason to do.

If you look at the image nicoldo submitted, the grey bar across the middle, near the bottom has a raised section in the centre, consistent with a gatefold crease, and not just stitched together.

Maybe an export issue or something like that?

I don't think a gatefold exists. All I see is the inner card sleeve shown back and front and stitched together. It would be great if a photo of it being opened be provided.

I did see in 1982 a copy of madcap laughs with the inside of the gatefold from the Harvest Heritage 2 LPof Syd. That was a mistake by the printer

I didin't think there would be anything new to add to my Pink Floyd wants.... but a gatefold copy of this has suddenly been logged in the back of my mind as something to look out for...

...Only thing is, you can bet that now people will become aware of such a creature, and the price for one will rocket (I'd bet that a listing for it now appears in the next RRPG). Discogs doesn't make such a distinction, and there are none on ebay of the gatefold variety that I can see, so this apparently slipped under the collective radar un-noticed.

I had the huge shop display - and I have no idea where it went. That still puzzles me. I did not see a gatefold sleeve.

Yes... probably used for just the first batch of pressings as a limited thing. I just have that memory of the window display... I wasn't into Floyd at that time so never really paid much notice!

I don't think your memory is playing tricks... the evidence is the inside gatefold scan nicoldo uploaded above (clearly visible crease in the middle).

I just think nobody noticed when they did away with the gatefold... must have been quite early on too.

Strange.... maybe my memory is playing tricks... it's been getting a peculiar workout lately recalling ever fading memories of TV shows from the 70's and 80's at TV World this past day or two!

That said, I've just had a good close look at mine, and compared it with nicoldo's back cover scans, and mine has the track listing in a purple colour, the same as the Fame issue, only a couple of shades lighter (Labels identical though).

But I have this exact issue, but it isn't a gatefold... and I've seen a few others the same, but never seen a gatefold.

(Ooooh, I sense a rarity!)

It seems there's more to this rather underwhelming title than meets the eye!

I'm pretty sure the original release came in a gatefold sleeve which was then truncated to a single sleeve for the Fame reissue. I have a memory of seeing this displayed in record shop windows (sigh... them were the days) where the gatefold was spread out across the window showing the entire front/back cover.

Well this is an unexpected moment of mystery..... is that really a gatefold issue you have nicoldo?

I have only a single album sleeve with mine, and the others I've seen are the same (Will shortly be uploading a Fame issue of this I picked up in a charity store... also a single album sleeve almost exactly the same as this).

The scans you've submitted of the inside gatefold are the inner sleeve images: Front and back, which has rounded corners and 9 inch thumb notch at top (Cat# top left on the white bit).
