fokeman: *vbg* (- and no, with the state my room - whole cottage - is in, that'd be impossible. i might sometimes strongly suspect someone's done that with the world, though...)
Your previous comment reminded me of an American comedian who did this wide-eyed crazy act where he started with "Did you ever get the feeling that someone has come into your room over night and taken away everything that you own, every item of clothing, every object in your room and replaced it with an EXACT replica?"
:-)
fokeman: i know you were (and weren't); i was agreeing with you, and also (indirectly, possibly somewhat obscurely) referencing a story too good to be exploded, that a classics scholar spent his entire academic life proving, to his own satisfaction, if perhaps, to no-one else's, that the odyssey was not written/composed, as was the iliad, by a greek named "homer", but by another bronze-age greek of the same name. . ."
(- and to revert "obtopic": if only green linnet had named their two series, "leaf-green linnet", and "grass-green linnet...")
Thanks ppint. I'm not saying they were different labels but just that one was a reissue series and the other an (important and influential) series gave us recordings of Irish-American and American folk artists par excellence. The dates they were released will cause a complete mix up of the two different series which is a bit of a shame in my humble opinion.
(and have you noticed, they forgot to remove/blank out/superimpose their own cat# over mulligan's "lun (for "(donal) lunny" ?) 008"; may've caused some confusion in merkia & canadada?)
It would be great if someone could separate the Green Linnet series beginning with sif 1000 and the 3000 series which was only reissues of other record labels' work.
