Not to be confused with the equally atrocious EP "Got Live If You Want It" which was once in my collection but was sold without any qualms whatsoever.
The first good official live Stones album and to my mind probably still the best Stones live album is "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!".
UK release of this album was in August 1971 according to Decca's 1974 main catalogue, so Australian release would probably have been a few months after, given the usual practice of the time. The side 2 tracks appear to come from the US London "GOT LIVE IF YOU WANT IT" album.
(Edit: but if you read the linked UK entry - like I didn't - you already knew all that).
Excellent job on this one robozuc! The entry looks very good now, except for my purple Decca labels which for some reason have always just looked plain wrong to me. But that is exactly what they look like. This one's a bit like the Plastic Ono Band's "Live Peace In Toronto" in that one side is fantastic and the other one is not up to much at all. Oohh! just noticed that wax_museum owns this twice, I think the third owner should be Whassup or have they (yes, I know this this grammatically incorrect and should be "has he/she") been notified to switch ownership to this copy?
This is a post 1980 repress but has almost the same cat# as original release. The second side is a horrendous live effort no wonder it wasn't released when the Stones were actually on the Decca label. Release date and cat# corrections sent. Release date still currently unknown though.
