 A troubled album from The Blasters, shed of the horn section that drove earlier albums at the insistence of management, producer or label, they return to the studio to cut new material. While the songs are some of Dave Alvin's best for the group the band seem a little lost without the horn section and tend to overplay to compensate. This album was originally cut with the brass section but re-done against the band's wishes. The Executive Producer is listed on the label as Little Bastard I think that indicates how the band felt about their last proper album.
