Notes

NIPPON GRAMMOPHON release
MGM label - "SMM" Series

Nippon Grammophon took over release and distribution rights of the MGM label from Nippon Columbia in late 1964. The first series handled by the company was that with an "SMM" prefix and appearing on the BLACK/MULTI label. It would appear that, initially, the "S" was used to denote a stereo recording, but this was subsequently dropped and later issues appeared with merely an "MM" prefix, In 1970 Nippon Grammophon underwent a change of name to Polydor KK, reissuing some releases and maintaining the "MM" prefix for subsequent compilations. Both Nippon Grammophon and Polydor KK issued DJ/Promo pressings of releases.

The above is a different compilation to the similarly titled USA LP MGM E/SE 4167 THE VERY BEST OF CONNIE FRANCIS CONNIE'S 15 BIGGEST HITS! and is housed in a picture sleeve first used for USA 45 MGM K 13214 BLUE WINTER/YOU KNOW YOU DON'T WANT ME.

Subsequentlyl issued on BLURE/GOLD label as MGM MM 1001.
