It appears that that these tracks were legitimately licensed. The Compo Company Ltd.was sold to MCA Inc. and became MCA Records Canada and today is under the banner Universal Music Canada. Universal Music owns the rights to Roy's MGM catalog while Sony holds the rights to his Monument recordings.
A curious mix of tracks from Monument and MGM, labels which The Compo Company didn't have the rights to (distributed by London and Quality respectively), and Roy's sleeve note (actually, the whole cover design) is lifted from his first MGM album, with "signing with MGM Records" altered to "signing with Point Records" (yeah, right). So, did Compo legitimately licence these tracks?
