Dale45 SUBS 25th Aug 2022		This is the first record I ever saw with a UPC; it made a distinct impression. It was definitely 1979. Unfortunately I no longer have my copy.

TopPopper 2nd Oct 2013		From as early as 1979, they have barcodes? Incidentally, the Wiki article is vague on when they were introduced. It does say that in 1980 - after this LP - "8,000 stores per year were converting". That's some thousands of stores out of millions - would that really be sufficient for a record company - not selling much in supermarkets anyway - to actually print a barcode onto the sleeve? I find it doubful, but I don't know for sure.

beatcrazy 8th Sep 2013		It just surprises me, that later Joe Jackson US albums (I'm The Man, ...) DON'T have a barcode.



JJcollector 8th Sep 2013		Have a look at Wikipedia about the history of the barcode/universal product code (UPC). I think it's absolutely possible. Its introduction was even pushed by RCA in the 60/70s.
