 All the songs on this album are written by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker [who sadly passed away on the 3/9/2017] except for East St.Louis Toodle-Oo is actually written by Duke Ellington and Bubber Miley and originally a jazz piece and also became a signature for Anne Nightingale`s Radio 1 Request Show and originally broadcast on Sunday afternoons in the 70`s. In this wonderful version from this 1974 album,Walter Becker sang the melody the talk box or vocoder to imitate Miley`s trumpet style.
