Notes

4 LP set with 72 tracks, packed into a gatefold cover with no composer credits, liner notes, or release year. Some songs are edited to fit onto the discs. Each of the 4 discs has a different color label, with label name shown as JBR, Inc. Originally marketed through TV ads, and later as discounted cut-out bin records. Similar packages were marketed during the 1970's in the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia on various label names such as Jukebox International, Juke Box, Jukebox Records. Some bore a "Wayne Sterile Concept" logo or credited Candlelite Records and other labels.

 First, the bad:
In the Notes it says, "Some songs are edited to fit onto the discs." This is an understatement -- sometimes, the songs just . . . end. No, or little, fade out then boom, DONE. That's one way to get 9 tracks per side.

Also: Many songs (all?) are electronically enhanced (read: fake) stereo, which is awful in most cases. You can almost picture the mixing engineer saying to himself, "Oops, I need to hurry up and fade this to the other channel now..." and then not doing it quite in time. Also, many tracks sound extremely muddied.

Some bands are misspelled and many are missing the word "The".

Now, the good:
Now much. However, there may be some songs that are hard to find elsewhere -- even if they don't sound very good.

Just a note:
All of mine have black labels with silver print.
