 Here Maria Callas uses her husband's surname in Maria Meneghini Callas, a form used on her recordings for a brief time. "Maria Callas," "Miss Callas" and "Callas" also appear, but not prominently.

The most famous aria in Medea is Medea's Dei tuoi figli. It's not included in these excerpts.

Recorded in the Teatro alla Scala, September 1957.

This opera was also issued in a full length set.

The excellent liner notes include a lot of information in a small space– bios, about the opera, the recording.

Baritone Alfredo Giacommotti is incorrect on label as "Alfred."
