Okay I've investigated this a little further and the US copy should have the following matrix numbers in the dead wax according to Discogs,
Matrix / Runout (Etchings Side A): SRK-1-6077 RE-1-JW1 #1 AMIGO-PB
but my copy has
Matrix / Runout (Etchings Side A): SRK-1-6077 RE-1-WW1 #1 AMIGO-PB
The only difference being that my copy has WW1 rather than JW1 etched in the deadwax so it could be mistake on Discogs (likely) or they could be different USA pressings. I'm not an expert on that sort of thing. However, the absence of any Australian mx#s on the label or in the deadwax indicate that this is indeed a US pressing. Strange that it differs from ajharps label scans so much though but they may just be from different plants or one may be a reissue. Just found this on the ramonesonvinyl.blogspot here so I've added it in "Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Winchester, Virginia Identified by: Pressing plant-code WW in the matrix number along with a symbol for a Winchester rifle stamped into the vinyl, ----◄
Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Jacksonville, IL Identified by: Pressing plant-code JW in the matrix number along with the symbol "O" stamped into the vinyl."
I did have two of this album and gave away the worse of the two a few years back.
All in all I'm convinced now that my images belong here.
The scans I've added here may well be of the Australian isssue. The labels are different and have no "made in" information on the lower rim of the label. Everything else is a straight cop from the US version cat#, artwork etc. Should I re-enter mine as an Australian Copy? Only got wise to how Sire releases were knocked up over here recently. Quite deceiving when you look at it unless of course you've got a US version to compare it too. Thanks for the scans ajharp I think the label differences are conclusive in this case, mine is a 1980 first release I bought it the week it came out.
Added full set of scans. The first side is great but side 2 fades away a bit - hey Brudders back to selling 'T' shirts. Even Phil couldn't capture the band like Tommy could and this sadly set the pattern for following albums.
