YankeeDisc SUBS 1st Jun 2018		I took the woman I eventually married to see the film (see tt0065466) from which this soundtrack is taken around February/March 1971, it was on general release in UK showing back-to-back with "Myra Breckinridge", see tt0066115. NOTE: Upon checking IMDB "Myra Breckinridge" was UK released 4 March 1971. It was the first time in our dating relationship (commenced mid-February '71) that I took her to the movies, and what a pairing to pick, lord knows what she must have thought of my choice (but said nothing). I even remember the cinema, Odeon Streatham, London SW16, and it is still there, although no longer one very large theatre/cinema, it now has 8 multi-screens. The printing code on the LP sleeve showing 7101 (January 1971) is more than likely to be correct, but the film itself was on general release from 1970, May probably. As an addenda, I bought a VHS video tape copy of the film off of Ebay, sometime in the noughties, and that lurks somewhere in my vaults, unseen as yet. From my time at United Artists Records Ltd., which issued many soundtrack recordings, I always thought LP's of soundtracks were issued as near as possible to the film's premiere, and I do recall seeing the UA film "The Man With The Golden Gun" (19 December 1974 - London premiere) , not long after the premiere date, and at the same Leicester Square theatre, that the premiere was held in, with complimentary tickets from my employer, UA. At the same time I had been selling in to record dealers the s/t album "The Man With The Golden Gun - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" UAS 29671



Sinkronizer 17th Nov 2016		The Garrod & Lofthouse printing code shows 7101 (January 1971) so May 1970 must be too early for UK release.
