 Bought this on strength of seeing gutsy live performances (probably Whistle Test) before the album came out. This album didn't live up to the promise of the live shows and aside from Spanish Stroll and Cadillac Walk almost sounds like a different artist. The schmaltzy, forelorn, overly produced tough guy ballads that dominate the album are hard to take. When the band try to rock the results sound like air-brushed cock rock. I know this album was well received in Europe and will have its fans and I have kept it thinking that one day it might grow on me. So I played it ten minutes ago and sadly, think the description of the album above is accurate.
