confranfan SUBS 26th Jun 2017		MALACO RECORDS TELSTAR RECORDS PLC release TELLSTAR label The above album was issued by Telstar Records plc, a British company specializing in the tele-marketing of compilations by established artists, and distributed by BMG Records Ltd. It contains 20 of the 24 titles recorded for Malaco Records in May 1989 for which British and European rights were licensed to Prism Leisure Corp. plc. All legitimate releases of the Malaco material in Britain and Europe have in turn been sub-licensed by Prism to the companies handling the product, with the exception of that appearing on the company's own label. All of the song selections on this album are from the 1989 Malaco Recording Sessions. This was simultaneously released on CD TELSTAR TCD 2393 and MC TELSTAR STAC 2393. This sub-licensed TV-promoted package was the first release of Malaco recordings in Britain. Prism Leisure subsequently marketed their own compilation CONNIE FRANCIS: 24 GREATEST HITS, but in CD and MC formats only. Added barcode digits and composer credit.
