| | No, 'SON' in this case was Sonic Recording Products of Holbrook, NY. The combo of pressing ring and label fonts gave that away. |

| | Could that SON be "Sound Of Nashville"? Anyway, Magic Marmalade's labels must be excess stock being used up, as the rims show "The Gramophone Co. Ltd.", whereas the company name had changed on 1st July 1973 to EMI Records Ltd., as shown on the back cover. |

| | Added full set of scans, to be Feng-Shui-ed to best effect.
There seem to be notable differences in the labels I have, and the others here...
My sleeve is a Garrod & Lofthouse, with a plain white inner sleeve.
Matrices: A5, and B2 ending, with no etched words in the run out.
(None of that K-... number in the run out either) |

| | Run Off
STMA - 8011 - A - 4 K-6456 SON
STMA - 8011 - B - 3 K-6457 SON
The SON is scribed quite small , and the B side run out groove is quite narrow with that lettering only just fitting in the small space
Printing is not as bad as the scanner suggests , ( having difficulty with focusing and getting colour density right , but the printing is wonky. No idea of sleeve as that was too wet to do anything meaningful with . The centre has a shallow , straight sided depression both sides as the scans indicate. |

| | A US Capitol pressing plant would be logical, considering the EMI connection, but when I first took a look at this I thought "unofficial pressing", with the apparently poor silver ink print registration over the first printed matt black blank label.
Link to UK printed version. STMA 8011. |

| | Would love to know what info was etched into the run-off.
The typesetting looks vaguely Capitol, but the wide ring around it looks almost like a CBS pressing. |

YankeeDisc SUBS 19th Nov 2013
| | Looks like a pressed in US vinyl, especially for the UK market, possibly because of vinyl shortages. I am presuming that the gatefold sleeve was UK printed and made.
My UK copy has the standard UK labels/sleeve. |
