P.S. one thing that does strike me as odd about your copy is the other numbers that appear top-centre of the back cover, which don't correspond to any UK Tamla Motown number; could this be an export issue, for Scandinavia maybe?
Your repress would be 1973 at the latest, Nick; my copy of MOTOWN DISCO CLASSICS VOLUME THREE (STML 11227, released April 1973) shows "THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD" on the left-hand side of the label circumference, with "MADE IN GT. BRITAIN" appearing at the bottom of the labels; by the time VOLUME FOUR (STML 11244) was released in February 1974, the company name had changed to EMI Records Ltd., and that appeared on the edge of the labels. Plus, according to EMI's 1976 main catalogue, this album was only available on cassette by then, and furthermore, Motown changed its UK distributor to RCA Ltd. in October 1981, so a 1980's repress by EMI is very unlikely.
