 God, this lady could sing. So soulful, and a real ache in her voice. Every time I hear her it brings tears to my eyes.
I have never seen her quoted as saying she was influenced by Linda Jones, but there is a definite similarity in style. However, whereas Linda could go over the top sometimes, Teena keeps it reined in just right.

Sadly missed.
