ZackMcBuick SUBS 23rd Aug 2024		There were a series of these L.P.'s for both Animals and Hermits that issued on both MGM and Quality (with different catalog nos.). My initial research into this is that the MGM issues date to 1964 and 1965 and the Quality issues only start in 1966. Why this happened is unclear, but my guess is that it is linked to some sort of legal or business issue apropos Mickie Most / Reverse Corp. Many of the release dates for the Quality issues herein were previously very incorrect (as they were often quoted as the same year as the initial MGM release). The Mods have now sorted this out. Sidenote: Several of the Herman's re-releases on Quality aren't yet uploaded and that will need to be carefully vetted. The last thing we need are 1966 re-releases cited with 1965 MGM release dates! It also seems that the later Animals' issues of 1966 (Animalisms, Animalization) only were released on MGM (Canada). I suspect this may have to do with those releases no longer being part of the Mickie Most / Reverse Corp., realm. Re SWR's 1/22/2024 comment
