| | What an album!
One for the Led Zep fans.
If only Rod Stewart did more of this kind of thing (and Faces too), I might like him more
I cranked it up and let the neighbours have some.... nearly blew the bloody doors off!
The abrupt cut off at the end caught me by surprise too. |

| | New scans of labels added.
Hope you agree they display the contrast between the white and grey/silver elements a little more clearly (having raised the point, I ought to deliver!).
This was one of three sleeveless discs I got yesterday; The other two being Jimi Hendrix: The Cry Of Love, and: Band Of Gypsys on Polydor Supers (Later presses)... seems I'm going to have to create an "orphans" box now, for discs awaiting sleeves, or sleeves awaiting discs...
I did manage to get a Reaction Mono sleeve for my Who: A Quick One the other week... so it can happen!
Regarding this one, RRPG lists this as a second press, with the first press supposedly being a black label with blue Columbia text (See first Pink Floyd: Piper, or: Saucerful monos for examples)... however, even the listing has in brackets: Existence unconfirmed.
But my Matrices for this are:
Side 1: XAX 3870 - 1 (R at 3 O'clock)
Side 2: XAX 3871 - 1 (G at 3 O'clock)
(No other markings in deadwax)
So these seem like first press matrices for this, and I can't imagine what the "earlier" label matrices would be...
Does a change in label always denote a new press of the disc? |

| | Right you are Hawkmarty, just didn't want there to be confusion for people looking at the images to think there were two variations of this design.
I'll put my labels up tomorrow :) |

| | The lines and text are silver. My images are photos and I have to push the contrast sometimes to maximise the clarity within the file size limit. Please feel free to replace with better images; one of the pre-requisites of this site (and being a moderator) is to leave your ego at the door. :-D |

| | Is all the print on these labels completely white Hawkmarty, or is the Columbia text and EMI logo white with grey/silver lines and track listing text?
I got a sleeveless copy of this today which is of the latter description, but won't upload if yours are just a scanning anomaly. |
