Got to agree with Steve1966. This LP is fantastic. The worst song by far is the single ‘Give a little love’, the only song they didn’t write themselves. Just listen to ‘Shanghai’d in love’ ‘Maybe I’m a fool to love you’ , ‘Here comes that feeling again’ or ‘Lovely to see you‘ and hear the Beatle influences.
I’m just going to say it and suffer the consequences. I got this album for Xmas 1975 as a nine year old. I consider it a masterpiece. All but one song (the single, which is arguably a commercial giveaway) written by two of the band members. Just think about that. These were talented musicians. Every song worthy of note. Think of it as the Beatles Rubber Soul era. No longer boy band but not yet Revolver/Pepper. I truly love it. If you get chance have a listen but make sure it is the UK vinyl track listing as the CD has an extra single thrown in out of sequence which ruins the flow. There I’ve said it.
I have added images,
Sorry I did not state my first image as Front, I was worried it would not appear side on as the image in the small box showed it with their heads up, so I took a chance then realised I hadn't stated what it was..
Not to be confused with Rock n' Roll Love letter U.S. Arista AL 4071 witch has the same cover and different songs. My German copy is Bell 1C 062-97 197.
