| | Like kab2112 I was at the Wembley gig in '74. I had just spent an extremely enjoyable summer with a lovely Scottish girl and she had just returned home to University - never to meet again. Joni's voice (and very large bottle of wine I had consumed in a very short period of time) left me feeling somewhat melancholy, I recall. |

| | doormanperdomo: ta. and ha! - it's a fair question, and has to do with an unfortunate incident that led to my being off school regularly for the one lesson period per week when we were being taught to write the italian round hand chancery script designed by eric gill for use with our new italic-nibbed pens (real ink pens!) for x-rays in hospital over the couple of months the class was taught, and then practiced writing the upper case...
the immediate result was that i didn't know how to write upper-case letters at all (other than as larger versions of the lower case, which doesn't always work, and tended to be inconsistent and ugly - and was considered unacceptable, with my not using wrong forms for upper-case at all being insisted upon.
in the longer term, with the extended period of my using only lower case letters whilst i evolved forms of the letters in upper-case that worked happening at the same time as my learning ancient greek, which mostly doesn't (didn't) use upper-case letters in cursive (or in non-monumental sentences) - and whose upper-case letters forms are frequently utterly unlike their lower case, and utterly unlike the latin (which are basically what we use for writing english) - left me completely confused as to when to use the upper case, other than for emphasis (and for monumental inscriptions - which i very rarely chisel, not being a monumental stonemason).
as a result, i automatically write in the lower case, and it adds a considerable length of time to my writing if i then go back and add them in, and the results of essaying this are both somewhat unpredictable, and inconsistent - especially as i'm still not necessarily sure when, where and whether they should be there. or not.
- love, ppint.
edit: doormanperdomo's removed his question to me: maybe i shouldn't've explained... |

| | Strange I have the German version of this and :-
1) Side 2 has an extra track at the end-Blue
2) Side 3 track 4 is called 'Real Good For Free'.
Whilst I'm on this-- is there any way I can copy all the info on this UK release to input a German release but just tweak it?
Cheers-Mick |
