The November 11, 1968 date is probably false, the album was never scheduled in Capitol's files (though mono and stereo masters were delivered there!) and it would have probably taken a back seat to the White Album and should have been issued at the beginning of December with Georges' Wonderwall Lp... The Jan 6 date comes from the Cox, Daniels, Speizer camp and is more likely!...The Lp did chart on Billboard the first week of February 1969...if it had come out in November, it would have charted at least by December 1968.....John

I'm confused, most places sources say this was released on November 11th, 1968 in the states. This is the first I've heard of a January 6th, 1969 release. Where did you find this out and get the exact date? I'd like to read up on the story if it's true

Added the missing Monarch Records variant. The deltas for this are:
Side One Δ 12796.
Side Two Δ 12796-X.

Believe it, {Images #525511 & 525512} would be unofficial and/or boot' . . . Monarch pressings had a 2.875" pressing ring, while Bestway pressings had a 2.75" ring (and both used label type from Bert-Co of Los Angeles). I seem to recall Columbia (which also pressed Tetragrammaton product) avoiding this one like the plague. The 1985 pressing, however, had a "humped" ring of 2.75" average and a smaller 1.375" (approx.) pressing ring nearer to the spindle hole.

These are 1985 (possibly un-official) labels and definitely not originals from 1969....John

The Tetragrammaton inscription on the label refers to the small label which agreed to distribute it, after EMI originally refused to (ahem) handle a naked John Lennon. Therefore I think it highly unlikely this would still be appearing on the label in the 1980s - so I would guess that either its a counterfeit, or its older than it seems.

Unlike the British release, there's no break down of the two sides on either the sleeve or the label, so I've entered the tracks simply as "Side 1" and "Side 2". I'm fairly certain that this is a 1980's re-issue, if so probably unofficial, it was presented in an outer brown bag with a section of John and Yoko's face area printed on the front and back of it with Genesis Chapter 2 also printed on the back. McCartney's quote is on the front of the nude cover. Plain white inner sleeve.
