Apart from the catalogue numbers and the label (red for the first issue) there is no difference. I doubt the covers differ at all apart from the catalogue number. Before they'd developed the Tara logo they used a simple red label with black text, then developed the logo and kept the red label before moving onto the green label in the very late 1970s.

The catalogue number given coincides with the date 1980 when this catalogue number was allocated. The date 1972 coincides with the catalogue number 1001 which was the first issue of this LP and the first on the label. So we need to either change the date on this listing or change the catalogue number...

The third issue of this record. Second issue was TARA 1000 (or TARA 1001 depending whether you look on the label or the sleeve!) :-) First issue of course, was on the Trailer label and issued in the UK by Bill Leader, who recorded it with Liam Og O'Flynn and the other 3 members of Planxty plus Kevin Conneff (later of Chieftains) and Dave Bland on concertina.
